A need for a well-oiled marketing machine

Ballisager is a well-established name in HR, recruitment and outplacement, where CEO Morten Ballisager has cemented himself as a thought leader in the industry. But even strong brands need a well-oiled marketing machine behind the scenes.

However, their initial digital setup hampered growth. Leads only landed in two annual bursts in connection with their analytics, which meant that salespeople wasted valuable time manually sorting out unqualified contacts.

A continuous flow of qualified leads

As marketing manager at Ballisager, Kristoffer Vindum has many balls in the air at once. Previously, the company's leads came in irregular bursts, and in the periods in between there was a lack of a stable and predictable flow. This meant that it was difficult to keep the pipeline evenly filled, and valuable time was spent guessing which leads were actually ready for a sales dialogue.

The need was therefore quite clear: an automated machine that continuously collects qualified leads, and transparent reporting that shows exactly what works.

A website and tools that didn't come with it

Messy design and expensive licenses stood in the way of ambitions

The website was a few years old and had become a slightly messy visual pleasure, with individual pages each pulling in a different graphic direction. At the same time, two important calculators, one for outplacement and one for recruitment costs, were located in the license-based software ConvertCalculator. It was a good solution at the time, but a fixed monthly license quickly became a large, ongoing cost without real ownership of a tool that plays a central role early in the customer dialogue.

A unified marketing engine in HubSpot

We brought Ballisager's efforts together in one place. Kristoffer now receives a monthly performance and status report and continuously puts the strategy together with our Paid Ads Specialist, Alexander.

“It's really cool that I can pass on the entire reporting part to Itch. The setup of the ads and the reporting of their performance are completely under control, and we don't have to worry about it. That's a big relief for me.” 

In the fall of 2023, we gave the website a thorough visual makeover and developed a new brand guide. The new site was built in HubSpot and delivered on time despite a tight deadline. As part of the solution, we used HubDB so that Ballisager's employee data can now be updated in one place in the backend, and reinvented two calculators as specially developed HubSpot modules:

  • The Outplacement Calculator: Estimates the price level based on employee level and presents three solutions, ensuring early expectation alignment.

  • The Recruitment Calculator: Calculates price based on profile, industry, geography and salary level, which results in better qualified inquiries.

Resultater

A roll of leads and full ownership of the tools

In less than a year, the number of leads has increased significantly, and Ballisager now has an efficient inbound mill that continuously collects leads and gives them points in HubSpot's lead scoring system.  

Moving the calculators to HubSpot has also given Ballisager full ownership of their own tools. They can now adjust the content, order and structure themselves and permanently get rid of the fixed license fee. The result is greater flexibility, better profitability and many hours saved in the backend thanks to HubDB.
