From three websites to one unified digital universe

We helped OxyGuard bring the group together on a shared WordPress foundation with a consistent thread across three companies and a setup the team can manage and scale the business with themselves.
"We came from three websites on a CMS system that was shutting down. So we were forced to figure out what should happen next. We wanted to find the best possible match for us, and we were looking for a partner that invited more collaboration than what we'd had before. We also needed someone well-versed in HubSpot."

Udfordringen

The business and the website had grown apart

OxyGuard had a web structure that no longer kept pace with their business. The old Umbraco site was on its last legs, and the website had over time become cumbersome to keep updated. That made it difficult for customers to navigate the large product range, and the visual look needed some love to match the quality and expertise OxyGuard actually delivers today.

The biggest challenge, however, was uniting the group digitally. With the subsidiaries Water ApS and Cobália, there was a need to create a common thread across three different sites. The goal was to develop a shared user interface that made the companies appear as one unified family, without the individual brands losing their own identity or their connection to their specific target audiences:

A proactive and honest sparring partner

Why Itch?

For OxyGuard, choosing Itch was about finding a partner who could take on the task of three websites without making the process heavy and confusing. They needed advice that wasn't just about design, but also about the right technical architecture and sound economics.

Already in the initial conversations, it became clear to OxyGuard that we weren't just a supplier, but a proactive partner willing to challenge the existing foundation:

"Itch spotted some flaws on our side, flagged some things for us, and asked some questions that were very relevant, and that we might not necessarily have thought into the process ourselves."

That honesty laid the foundation for a partnership built on trust rather than quick fixes. OxyGuard had previously worked with larger agencies, where they experienced high staff turnover and a long distance between contact and action. With Itch, they had a different experience: a close, secure relationship with fast response and action.

An efficient solution with respect for budget and functionality

After a thorough analysis of OxyGuard's needs, we recommended moving the platform to WordPress. It was a decision based on both economics and functionality. The goal was to create an efficient solution that wasn't made more complicated than it needed to be.

We developed a flexible web structure that serves as the shared foundation for the entire group. Instead of starting from scratch three times, we built a "master site" for OxyGuard that serves as the technical template for the two subsidiaries. By using the same basic page templates – but with the ability to customize colors and modules – Water ApS and Cobália could be rolled out far more efficiently.

That ensured a consistent experience for the user, while OxyGuard got a solution that's far easier to maintain day to day.

A professional universe with full digital ownership

By bringing the group together under one roof, we've made day-to-day administration significantly easier, saving valuable time. The biggest win? OxyGuard has gone from being technically dependent to having full digital ownership, where they can act on their own.

Our advice on the CMS secures them an economically sound solution with low operating costs, without compromising on either data or the customer journey. The result is a professional universe that makes the complex product range easy to navigate for customers around the world.

Three companies united on one shared technical foundation in WordPress

Full digital ownership, enabling OxyGuard to run their own universe

Low operating costs ensure an economically sound solution with no compromises

A safe and positive experience despite a steep learning curve

No question was too silly

A crucial part of the project was ensuring that OxyGuard could run their new universe themselves. The move to WordPress required a steep learning curve for their Marketing Coordinator, Pernille Thøger, who hadn't worked with the system before. But working with Isabella removed the uncertainty and made it a positive experience:

"It was a really pleasant workflow. I never once had that pit-in-the-stomach feeling, and I never felt like I was out of my depth – no question was too silly."

OxyGuard is now well equipped to master WordPress and its many tools and features, giving them full ownership of their own universe today. To ensure day-to-day operations and a good overview of the three sites, OxyGuard now has a support agreement that provides peace of mind day to day:

"Isabella is super efficient and quick to respond. If something's wrong, I know she can support the team exactly as if I were there."
